We went to breakfast this morning which I enjoy and enjoyed very much. Then we went by Barnes and Noble and looked through some books. I got one on Religions of the World by Huston Smith. I was wanting one that compared different religious ideas and I hope this one will fit the bill.
Carolina lost today and Duke won in the semi-final round of the ACC Tournament. I forgive our guys since they are having to play without Lawson (the ACC player of the year) due to his being injured. Maybe they can still go to the NCAA but it is a great liability obviously if Lawson can't return. I think he has bone fractures so I have my doubts that his return is possible for this year. Don seemed fairly well off when I talked with him a moment ago. I was afraid he would be upset to the point of not talking to me but he seems to be taking this in stride.
I did find out that one of our ministers went to undergrad UNC and is a great fan of our sports teams. I am so proud of him for saying so and have volunteered for one of his volunteer groups where they need help. I will see if it is something I can keep up as it is hospital visitation and I think you get people so ill, they hardly know you are there all the way to people who could not be happier that someone from church came by to see them. I was among the latter so I am hoping this can do people a lot of good.
I have a sinus infection but did go to the doctor yesterday and get some meds. It seems to be working pretty well. I do feel better today after having several doses.
John, Lauren, and David were here yesterday and we had a great time visiting. We didn't do anything special, just sat around and told funny stories. John's workplace rigs his computer with a practical joke every Friday so that he never knows what he will find on Mondays when he comes in. I hope it doesn't get out of hand but he seems to have a good sense of humor about it.
