Don went to his men's group while I did my workout at the YW. I spent a long time doing it as I was trying to work on technique today. Then I ate a packed lunch and worked today's crossword from the Char. Observer. I will try and get to the USA Today one later but I need to look online for a couple of job applications right now. Sometimes that takes a day and a half by the time I find something suitable.
Monday was pretty full as I recall. It started with a regular dental appointment with cleaning and checkup. I haven't been to the dentist in about a year as I missed a regular appointment during my brain episode. Tuesday, we worked on installing Quicken on my pc and getting some of my on-line accounts hooked into the Quicken program. This was easier than we thought it would be but it did take some time. Don moved the entries for the year from his pc to mine because he can access his pc from my house. I think this saved hours of frustration and effort. However, I am sure he spent hours on getting the system down pat on how to get this hook-up accomplished. Fortunately, that had already been done so we just linked the two pc's up and somehow copied the transactions over that he had input into Quicken so far this year.
Yesterday, Wednesday, we set up my VCR/DVD players for the correct time and for learning how to record (at least VCR tapes) on them. I have't done a DVD recording yet, but want to try a couple sometime.
Now, we are watching Carolina play in the NCAA first round. Sure hope they get by this game okay as we want to look forward to more games in the next days and weeks.
LeAnn (from the surgeon's office) called and is more concerned about the sore still on my scalp than she originally seemed. She says we will give it 2 or 3 more weeks but I need to try and get the scabbing in one area to soften and fall away. I am to put a wet washcloth on the area where this thick scab is and see if it will soften enough to give way by itself over the next couple of weeks. Otherwise, we might need a doctor's intervention to get the skin to knit back together. She and Dr. Asher are afraid the skin is dead around the edges of this wound and won't knit back by itself - ever. If that is the case, then I think we will need to pursue some extra help. Something else to think about.
Carolina is ahead right now by 9 points, 36 to 27 with 5:22 left in the first half.
I finally found 2 jobs that seemed feasible for my experience and I applied on-line. Not that anyone seems to get replies to these applications but I am relieved to have finally located 2 this week that I thought were possibilities.
